This course was a collaborative endeavor created and taught with my friend and colleague, Whit Yost, who is an English teacher at Wissahickon High School. We had attended a gallery opening at Princeton University of a former student we shared where we were able to meet Cornell West. Later that evening we began to brainstorm about what we thought would be a logical and wonderful collaborative course. We wrote it up, proposed it and had it accepted. For various reasons it only ran for two semesters, but it was an awesome course that deserved much more. I presented the outcomes to appreciative audiences at the Pennsylvania Art Education Association conference (2009) and at the National Art Education Association conference (2010).

This video was a group project from the second time we ran the class. Needless to say, it was a lot of fun.
